01 / OUR EXPERTISE
A strong collection starts with the right decisions. We help you make them—from the first development conversation to the production floor.
Turn a creative direction into a product that can be made. Develop materials, construction, samples and fit around your brand, intended use and target price.
Find the manufacturing route that suits your product. We connect your requirements with specialist partners, considering capability, quantities, cost and quality.
Keep the conversation moving between your team and the people making your product. Align specifications, follow development and production, and work through the details together.

02 / A NETWORK WITH PURPOSE
Every product asks something different of its manufacturer. Our network gives us different routes to explore, with your brief setting the direction.
Portugal anchors our EU production offer, with options for smaller runs and quality-focused development. Tunisia complements the network with additional manufacturing expertise, matched to each brief.
Additional manufacturing routes for bigger programmes, selected around the product and the requirements of each order.
EU PRODUCTION / PORTUGAL
For brands looking to produce in the EU, Portugal offers a route centred on smaller volumes, considered development and higher-quality garments.

Smaller production runs can help you test a product, refine a collection and bring quantities closer to demand. We explore suitable Portuguese partners around your product and budget, with minimum quantities agreed for each project.
Better material choices, attention to construction and careful fit development are central to our approach. The aim is a garment that performs well, feels right and gives people a reason to keep wearing it.
Producing closer to European markets brings distance and coordination into the sourcing conversation. We also consider materials, processes, durability and order size: a European label alone does not establish a product’s environmental impact.
03 / HOW WE WORK
Whether you’re developing a new collection or reviewing an existing supply chain, we start by understanding what you need.
Your brand, product, quantities, target price and timing. We establish what matters before exploring the options.
Identify suitable partners and develop the material, sample and production approach around your requirements.
Review samples, fit, construction and costs. Clear feedback helps everyone move towards the same product.
Support communication and production follow-up, with attention to the specifications and delivery plan agreed for your project.

A CONSIDERED APPROACH
Responsible sourcing starts with practical decisions: what to make, how much to produce and how long it should last. Smaller runs in Portugal can support a more considered approach to quantities, while material selection, fit and construction keep quality in focus. We weigh these choices alongside cost, production processes and your commercial needs.
Let’s discuss your priorities ↗04 / THE PERSON BEHIND SOAK

Nicholas Hurenkamp / CEO
I’m Nicholas. I’ve spent more than 25 years in fashion, product development and sourcing—and I co-founded VIVEH. I understand the decisions you face because I’ve built a brand, too.
My work brings together textiles, product development and responsible sourcing. I look at how material choice, construction and fit affect the finished garment—and how long someone will want to wear it. At SOAK, that thinking starts with your brief and continues through the conversations with the people making your product.
EXPERIENCE / ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TABLE
VIVEH CEO & CO-FOUNDER / NICHOLAS HURENKAMP
Co-founding VIVEH with Vivian Hoorn brought product, purpose and production together in a women’s fashion brand launched in 2023.
Building the brand has meant working through the same questions you face: how a collection should fit, which materials support the design, how to protect quality and what it takes to make products work commercially. It’s experience I bring to the conversations we have at SOAK.
Developing pieces around fit, craftsmanship and a clear brand identity.
Understanding the different needs of direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels.
Connecting creative ambition with the practical decisions of development and sourcing.
PERSPECTIVES / BEYOND THE CUT
Nicholas shares his perspective on product decisions and responsible sourcing through Beyond the CUT and LinkedIn.

Explore cotton vs. polyester ↗Wear, washing and longevity belong in development decisions alongside production impact.
Explore durability and impact ↗Correct specifications alone do not establish good fit. Proportion, balance and silhouette need attention before production.
